Came here for a bday party. The pig roast done family style is great. The pig itself was perfectly cooked with tender meat and good crackling skin. The sides were also excellent: carrots, cauliflower, corn, Mac and cheese, and sausage stuffing that was amazingly flavorful!

Nothing but praise for Citizen Public House & Oyster Bar even though we started off on rocky ground. Although the night was busy with concerts & the Red Sox game the kitchen seemed unorganized. From our POV, plates were coming out for tables who arrived well after us. About an hour later we asked one of the staff if they could check on the progress. The manager promptly came over and decided to go above and beyond what was necessary to set our night back on track. I wish I had gotten the manager’s name (sorry!) but you & your server Nicole were so gracious about the chaos and we truly appreciate you taking care of us! We were celebrating a 20th anniversary with dinner and a concert so THANK YOU for ensuring we continued to have the best night possible. The food was absolutely fantastic from the fried pickles to the burgers. Amazing! Thanks again for showing us such kind hospitality.

Fantastic dining. We stayed at The Verb hotel, right down the block. Open late and delicious. We ended up going twice, knew it would be great service and great food. Steak frites and fish and chips 5 stars!!! Great charcuterie board too.

The irony is that all my companions tonight were not fans of either whiskey nor raw seafood, the two specialties of Citizen Public House, but thankfully all the other food and drink options were plentiful and very delicious! The spicy deep fried pickles were super addictive, the endive winter salad was so flavorful with a very nose-tingly horseradish dressing, cauliflower cream pan fried gnocchi was divine, and especially enjoyed the duck pot pie with root veggies. Our server was so charismatic, attentive and kind. Could not recommend coming here enough! And would love to come back and try their raw seafood bar :)

Amazing! Went during a vacation on a weeknight. Tuna tartare, oysters and steak frites. Great service and large whiskey menu. Delicious cocktails. There was a mixup on the prices of the whiskey pours and the bar manager made it right for us - great service.

Absolutely fantastic place. The whisky and whiskey selections are fantastic though the beer selection was a little reduced thanks to St Patrick's Day weekend I'm sure. My friend got the 'Ideal Manhattan' and enjoyed it so much, she got a second one. We also got the Tuna Tartare since we weren't super hungry and that was fantastic as well. This is a great spot and near enough Fenway to walk when you want something more than a hot dig

I worked with Jeremy, the manager, to host a pig roast for 15 people to celebrate my son’s graduation from Northeastern. Everything from start to finish was exceptional! Our server, Nicole, kept the drinks flowing, we enjoyed the family style dishes, and they even accepted delivery of a cake the day before. I can’t wait to eat here the next time I’m in Boston.

So glad we stumbled on Citizen Public house. Our meals were excellent. It almost was a dive bar feel to it when you walk in but the food was absolutely delicious. I got the cod loin 10/10 my friend got the Beef tenderloin and loved it. Highly recommended!
